So...I am not a huge Pinterest user but I really do enjoy it when I do use it. My friend Didi Altop introduced me to this app/platform/website many years ago after one of our dream-boarding-with-pinot-something-or-another sessions. She noted that this might in fact be the visual "daydreaming" site that I was looking for as an outlet to having two kids in diapers and not knowing what to do with myself in my 7-8minute pockets of free time. Over the years I have diligently pinned stuff that I conceptually and visually liked. Not until recently have I tried some of the weird suggestions on Pinterest offered by millions of other folks (mostly female) with minimal pockets of free time. Here are a few of the suggestions that I have tried that are really, really pin-worthy and worth trying. Beauty Tips I Adore from Pinterest...Okay, so I have actually tried all of these and am sharing them with you in earnest (in other words, I truly, truly recommend all of them). Coffee Scrub...The next time you have stale ground coffee at home, put a few tablespoons in a bowl and use it in the shower as a body and face scrub. Not only does it feel as heavenly as coffee tastes, it leaves your entire body and face feeling super smooth. I cannot guarantee fewer cellulite or acne but it really works nicely as a non-aggravating simple exfoliant. Mix it with coconut oil, your shower gel or nothing at all for a great full body scrub experience. Miraculous Aloe Vera PlantAt almost 44 years-old AND I still have the worst time with acne. I am especially reactive to certain suncreams, the sun, the heat, sweat, most make-up, anything containing propylene glycol, bad eating and stress induced by LIFE. Hmmm (Deep Thought By Jack Handy). Enter the "Church Lady" calling me a sinner for all of my bad lifestyle choices. I hope somebody is getting all of my Classic SNL references or else I probably sound super-weird. (Young people please google Jack Handy and the Church Lady). Anywhoo, I finally decided to ditch all of my cosmetics and try the following to appease my inner sebaceous gland goddess. Aloe Vera + Tea Tree Oil. Yep, as simple as that. I was having a hideous time with a full-blown acne-reaction to various treatments attack, when I decided to look on Pinterest and find an alternative. Get thyself an Aloe plant. Get thyself some pure tea-tree oil...Follow the instructions on one of the 1,000,000 posts about these natural remedies and sit back and marvel at the beauty of nature when your face starts to behave for once. Painted Light Bulbs...Who thought you could paint lightbulbs? (About a million or so people on Pinterest). I did not start painting lightbulbs as an arts-and-crafts hobby--although many folks have made super cute minions out of bulbs so I am not judging--but I did start painting portions of my bulbs because they were just so dull and giving off the wrong kind of light. They were just too bright and boring...so I took out some paint and painted some of them in my colour of choice (greenish-blue) and lo and behold....I got gorgeous looking bulbs during the day and spectacularly hued and subdued light at night. You can dip your bulbs in paint, you can use a brush, you can use your fingers....all methods will yield interesting results. Try it out and see if you start seeing everything in technicolor. Will you try these out? Please do. You will be pleasantly surprised. Do you have any other random Pinterest recommendations to spruce up our lives? Please comment. Please do.

Pinterest is the home for great ideas, indeed! It is not just about the design, and the things we do, but it could also be a home for ideas that we can apply to our body, specifically with the skin care. I also tried this coffee body scrub and the result went amazing for me! It gave me a very soft feeling towards my skin, and I am so thankful that I experienced it! By the way, Christmas season is about to come. It is about time to find perfect designs for Christmas season.
